This week, I was asked to write a guest blog for What She Might Think, writer Erin Pringle-Toungate‘s excellent website. As you will guess from the title of the piece, it highlights the sad lack of libraries in my youth. Not there weren’t libraries near me; there were several. I have been co-editor of Albedo One since 1993 and co-administrator of its International Aeon Award for Short Fiction since 2005. Previous to that I was editor of FTL (1990 - 1992). I am editor of Writing4all: The Best of 2009 and Box of Delights, a new original horror anthology, due out soon from Aeon Press Books. As a freelance editor, I have worked on both novels and short stories with recent work done for Bruce McAllister, Nuala Lyons, Taylor Grant and others.
